2. Purpose of the App

The Ferrocon Tool App is used for the management, documentation, and tracking of tools within the user's own workspace.

3. What Data We Process

When using the app, the following data in particular may be processed:

• Account data: name, email address, user role, and workspace assignment
• Access data: login details as part of user accounts provided by the controller via Firebase Authentication
• Tool data: tool names, locations, status, maintenance information, and history entries
• User content: comments, uploaded images, and tool photos
• Technical data: login information and technically necessary data for providing and securely using the app

4. What We Use the Data For

We process the data in order to:

• provide user accounts and manage logins
• create, assign, and track tools
• store maintenance records, comments, and image documentation
• ensure the security, stability, and operation of the app

5. Camera and Photos

The app may access the camera and stored photos so that users can scan QR codes and capture or upload images of tools. Such access only takes place after the user has granted the relevant permission on the respective device.

6. Legal Basis

Data processing is carried out for the provision of the app and the execution of internal operational processes. Where personal data is processed, this is done in particular on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR insofar as the processing is necessary for using the app, and on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR due to legitimate interests in a secure and functional operation of the app. Where consent is required, processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.

7. Service Providers

Google Firebase services are used for the technical provision of the app, in particular Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Firebase Storage. In this context, personal data may be processed on Google's servers. It cannot be ruled out that data may also be transferred to third countries, in particular the United States.

8. Storage Period

Personal data is generally stored for as long as the respective user account exists. When the account is deleted, the personal data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations or other legal reasons prevent deletion.

9. Disclosure of Data

Data is only disclosed to third parties where this is necessary for the technical provision of the app, where there is a legal obligation, or where the data subject has given explicit consent.

10. Rights of Data Subjects

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, data subjects have in particular the right to obtain information about the personal data processed, to rectify inaccurate data, to erasure, to restriction of processing, and to object to certain processing activities.

11. Account Deletion

Users can request or carry out the deletion of their account via the deletion function provided in the app. Alternatively, a request can also be sent by email to [email protected].

12. Data Security

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to protect the personal data processed against loss, manipulation, unauthorized access, or other unauthorized processing.
